This Cookie Policy explains how Daily TimeCards uses cookies, browser storage, authentication technologies, and similar storage or access technologies on the Daily TimeCards public website and application.

Daily TimeCards currently does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing trackers, session-replay tools, or behavioral analytics tools.

Daily TimeCards operates a public website at dailytimecards.com and the Daily TimeCards application at app.dailytimecards.com. These are separate website addresses and therefore maintain separate browser-storage and consent records. Cookie Settings may differ between the public website and the application because the technologies used by each service are different.

Daily TimeCards uses certain storage and technologies that are necessary to provide, secure, and operate the service. Necessary technologies do not depend on optional consent.

Cookie preference record

Daily TimeCards stores your Cookie Settings decision in your browser so the applicable site can remember and respect your choices. The public website and the application maintain separate consent records because they operate on separate website addresses.

Your Daily TimeCards consent choice is stored locally in your browser and is not automatically mirrored to Daily TimeCards servers or transferred to another browser or device.

Application authentication and secure access

The Daily TimeCards application uses browser storage and authentication information needed to keep authorized users signed in, maintain secure account sessions, complete supported sign-in flows, support invited-user password setup, and manage secure application access. Authentication storage is required for the application to function.

Public form recovery

Daily TimeCards may use limited browser session storage to support secure public-form workflows and recovery of an in-progress workflow. This storage is used for operational continuity and security. It is not used for advertising or behavioral tracking.

Security and bot protection

Daily TimeCards uses Cloudflare Turnstile on certain public forms to detect automated traffic, prevent abuse, and protect public submission surfaces. Cloudflare may use cookies, browser storage, device information, or similar technologies as part of its security service.

Necessary storage cannot be disabled through Daily TimeCards Cookie Settings. If you block required storage or security technologies through your browser, device, privacy software, or network configuration, parts of Daily TimeCards may not function correctly.

The Daily TimeCards application offers an optional Functional category. When you allow Functional storage, the application may remember certain interface preferences in your browser, including:

• light or dark theme preference;
• whether archived projects are shown;
• 12-hour or 24-hour time display; and
• sidebar open or collapsed state.

These preferences affect convenience only. If Functional storage is not allowed, the underlying application features remain available, but optional browser copies of those preferences are not retained. If Functional permission is withdrawn, Daily TimeCards clears those optional browser preferences where technically possible.

Account settings that are intentionally saved to your Daily TimeCards account are account data rather than optional browser-storage technology and are not governed by the Functional cookie preference.

The public Daily TimeCards website currently does not use active optional Functional technology. Because no optional Functional technology is active there today, the public website does not currently require Functional consent.

Daily TimeCards does not currently use analytics cookies or behavioral analytics technology on either the public website or the Daily TimeCards application. Daily TimeCards does not currently run services such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager analytics tracking, advertising pixels, session-replay software, or comparable behavioral analytics systems.

Because no Analytics technology is active today, Analytics permission does not authorize any current tracking. If Daily TimeCards introduces Analytics technology in the future, that technology must be added to the consent system and the applicable Analytics policy version must be updated before deployment. Previous permission will not automatically authorize a materially new Analytics technology or purpose.

Daily TimeCards does not currently use marketing, advertising, retargeting, or advertising-measurement technology. There are no active Daily TimeCards marketing trackers today.

If Daily TimeCards introduces Marketing technology in the future, it must be registered through the consent system and the Marketing policy version must be updated before that technology can run. A previous choice will not automatically authorize materially new Marketing technology or purposes.

Daily TimeCards recognizes Global Privacy Control signals for the Marketing category. When a supported browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Daily TimeCards blocks Marketing-category technology while that signal is present.

Daily TimeCards currently does not operate Marketing technology, but this protection remains part of the consent architecture for future use.

Daily TimeCards uses a fail-closed consent model for optional categories. This means optional technology does not run unless the required current permission exists. Missing, malformed, outdated, revoked, or otherwise invalid optional consent is treated as not granted.

Each optional category has its own policy version. If Daily TimeCards introduces materially new technology or a materially new use within a category, that category's policy version is updated, previous permission for that category becomes outdated, and the new technology remains blocked until a current valid choice is made where consent is required.

Cookie Settings differ between the public website and application because each service currently uses different technology. On the public website, there are currently no active optional categories. Visitors may review Cookie Settings and continue without granting optional consent. In the application, Functional storage is currently available as an optional category. Users may accept, reject, or customize that preference. Analytics and Marketing currently remain inactive on both services.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Daily TimeCards uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection and abuse prevention on certain public forms. Cloudflare may process technical information and use storage necessary to evaluate whether a request is likely to come from a person rather than an automated system.

Google authentication

When a user chooses to sign in with Google, Google may use its own authentication pages, cookies, browser storage, account settings, or device information as part of that sign-in process. Daily TimeCards does not control Google's authentication cookies or Google account settings.

Google Workspace integrations

When an authorized customer or project administrator chooses to connect Google Drive or Google Sheets, Google may use its own authentication, authorization, cookies, or browser-storage technologies as part of that interaction. Google Workspace integration is separate from Daily TimeCards optional Analytics or Marketing categories.

Apple authentication

When a user chooses Sign in with Apple, Apple may use its own authentication pages, browser storage, cookies, device settings, or Apple account configuration as part of that process. Daily TimeCards does not control Apple's authentication cookies or Apple ID settings.

Tally feedback survey

The Daily TimeCards Feedback page uses a form provided by Tally. Tally may use cookies or similar technologies needed to display, operate, secure, and process the feedback form. The Feedback survey is optional. Tally technology is encountered when a visitor chooses to use that feedback experience.

Google reCAPTCHA within Feedback

The Tally Feedback survey uses Google reCAPTCHA to help protect the form from automated spam and abuse. Google identifies_GRECAPTCHAas a cookie used for reCAPTCHA risk analysis. reCAPTCHA use within the Feedback survey is treated as security and form-operation technology, not as Daily TimeCards optional advertising or marketing technology.

The Tally Feedback form may generate limited aggregate information needed to operate the form, such as form visits and submissions. Daily TimeCards does not currently connect that Feedback experience to optional advertising trackers, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, marketing measurement, or similar Daily TimeCards tracking systems.

Use of the Feedback form is not conditioned on accepting Daily TimeCards Analytics or Marketing categories.

You can review or update Daily TimeCards Cookie Settings at any time using Cookie Settings. The public website and application maintain separate settings because they are separate browser origins. Changing your preference on one does not automatically change it on the other.

You may also remove browser storage through your browser or device settings. If you remove the saved consent record, Daily TimeCards will treat optional categories as not granted until you make a new choice. Blocking Necessary storage through browser, device, privacy, or network controls may prevent certain features from working correctly.

Daily TimeCards does not use the consent record itself to create a device fingerprint and does not record your IP address or browser details as part of the Daily TimeCards consent record.

Daily TimeCards may update this Cookie Policy when its browser storage, integrations, consent categories, or related technologies change. Materially new optional technology or purposes will not rely on an older consent choice where a fresh choice is required. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect material policy changes.
